MKM Dispute Resolution was founded in 1992, with David O’Leary as Managing Director, to promote alternative methods of dispute resolution to Arbitration. MKM resolved many construction and engineering disputes in it’s formative years when parties, by mutual agreement, submitted disputes to Mediation / Conciliation in lieu of Arbitration. MKM was instrumental in introducing Conciliation into the standard building contracts and also provided the first training courses on Mediation to professional bodies and contracting organisations in the Construction Industry.
